Toni-Vic movie cancelled due to noontime show "Happy Yipee Yehey!,

Something's got to give.

In earlier reports, Toni Gonzaga announced that she and veteran comedian-host Vic Sotto will be doing a movie this year. However, because of Toni's inclusion in the new ABS-CBN noontime show "Happy Yipee Yehey!," the reunion film will no longer happen.

The Kapamilya show will be on the same timeslot of "Eat Bulaga!," the noontime show on GMA-7 that Vic continues to host. In the local entertainment industry, talents from competing television shows on rival networks are normally prohibited from engaging in showbiz projects; a policy stipulated in their talent contracts.

"Yeah hindi na siya tuloy, because of this (Happy Yipee Yehey!). So tingnan na lang natin yung good effect," Toni told entertainment reporters in a press conference at the Dolphy Theater in ABS-CBN on Tuesday, February 8.

The singer-host-actress added that she waited six years before accepting an offer to host a noontime show in deference to her former "Eat Bulaga! dabarkads." Toni was given her first hosting break on the longest-running variety show in the Philippines.

I've waited six years, tapos nung dumating po itong opportunity na ito parang I think it's a blessing na rin siguro. Ang hirap na ring tumanggi kasi I'm taking it as a blessing para mapagkatiwalaan din ng management."

Time management

Toni could very well be the most visible celebrity in the Kapamilya network. Her regular hosting stints in "ASAP Rocks" and "The Buzz" on Sunday will be capped by a daily noontime show- a lineup making her appear on air each day of the week.

So how will Toni manage her time and address the issue of overexposure?

On snubbing issue

Toni also addressed a tabloid report that claimed Toni snubbed some fans in Antipolo, Rizal when they asked to be photographed with her.
